I first heard about Ayahuasca around ten years ago, and the stories stayed with me. I reached a point in my life where I felt ready and open to whatever the medicine had to show me. I chose the queer retreat because I wanted the environment to feel safe, familiar, and nurturing — a space where I could fully let my guard down and be held with care.

The retreat was incredible. It was my first time doing anything like this, and it exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely do it again. Gabriel played a huge role in the experience. His warmth, presence, and depth of knowledge really anchored me and were inspiring. During ceremony, his energy work was something else — there’s a good reason he was nicknamed the Airbender. You could see and feel him shifting the energy. It was incredible.

After the retreat, I noticed a deeper sense of calm and acceptance within myself. I returned to my regular life, but with more space inside me. I developed a clearer understanding that all of life’s paths are valid — that there is a sacredness to every part of the journey, even the ones that used to feel confusing or frustrating. I carry more compassion and patience with myself now.

The other men became brothers. We came from all over the world, yet the bond we formed feels as deep as those forged in combat.

I came to the Ayahuasca Retreat carrying a long history of trauma I had been working through for years. Therapy and western medicine helped to a point, but I still couldn’t find a solid emotional foundation. Ayahuasca had been on my radar as a pathway to deeper healing, and when I learned this retreat was created as a safe space for queer people, it felt like the right moment. My mother had recently passed from cancer, and something in me knew it was time to answer the call.

The experience was both challenging and profoundly beautiful. I stepped outside my comfort zones and formed a genuine brotherhood with men from around the world. I didn’t know what Ayahuasca would bring, but I went in with an open heart. The first ceremony almost broke me, pushing me to my limits. But that intensity prepared me for the second ceremony, which became deeply transformative. I received visions that gave clarity for the path ahead and even connected with my mother, whose words still stay with me.

Throughout it all, Gabriel was an incredibly nurturing and protective presence. He and his co-facilitator supported me through my most vulnerable moments with grounding and care.

Life after the retreat still required work, but I returned home with tools I genuinely needed. My spiritual connection has only deepened since then, and I would absolutely do it again
